Most tools required are included in your rental. Including air tools and hand tools.

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION
So, you know what you want. Now what? Simple.
To rent a lift or a bay, simply give us a call.
We will do our best to ensure there is a bay ready and waiting for you at the time you request. However – due to the nature of automobile maintenance and do it yourself repairs, once wrenching begins, there’s no telling how long a particular repair or modification may take. Therefore, there’s no way to logistically block out a unit of time and assume the task will take as long as is counted on.
What this means is this: we don’t want to rush our customers into trying to get out of a bay because someone has it reserved behind them and we don’t want to put off customers who may have reserved a bay later in the day only to be pushed back because a repair went awry earlier and caused an overrun in the length of time to finish. All car enthusiasts know things go right and things go wrong. Sometimes things go VERY wrong and all that we ask for is some understanding when that happens and know that we’ll do our best to get you in as soon as we can.

- Q: Can I use the tire machine if I have never used one before.
- A: No
- Q: Can I come in and expect to learn from the mechanic on my vehicle?
- A: Not in all cases. There is often no time to to devote to one person and it makes the job take much longer. If you are not mechanically inclined in any way, we can do the work for you. Teaching would cost double what the labor rate is. You should not be attempting any work on your vehicle without previously studying videos or tutorials on how to get it done on your specific vehicle.
- Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN PARTS?
- A: You MUST bring your own parts for the job you plan to do. We can order parts for you through our suppliers, but your car will remain on the lift and there will be a mark-up on parts.
- Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN TOOLS?
- A: Absolutely. Feel free to bring them but please note, bringing your own tool does not lower the rental rate.
- Q: WHAT IF I CAN’T FINISH IN ONE DAY?
- A: You can leave your car inside for a $20.00 fee per night or you can roll it outside to the parking lot for free.
- Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO RENT A BAY?
- A: You must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and provide proof of current insurance for the vehicle you are repairing in our facility.

DIY Garage Ottawa reserves the right to refuse service or terminate bay / lift rental immediately. This will mainly happen when someone is not following the facility's rules and regulations or is incapable of safely completing the job for whatever reason. DIY Garage Ottawa reserves the right to refuse service for any reason we deem necessary.When we find it necessary to terminate services of any individual and/or remove an individual from the premises, the person will have to leave DIY Garage Ottawa premises immediately upon being notified (regardless of how far they are into their repair project) and is responsible for all charges incurred up until the time of termination. DIY Garage Ottawa hopes it will never be necessary to take such actions, but it is important to manage our facility in a safe and healthy environment. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.

To help you stay safe, there will be some paperwork and training on your first visit so please allow extra time to take care of that. We do require everyone in your group to sign a customer agreement and liability waiver before you can enter the garage. We strongly urge you to show up at least 15-20 minutes before your scheduled rental. Since we start the clock on your rental at the start of your scheduled time, we would hate to have you spending it signing papers. We keep your paper work on file so at future visits you can just check in and get working on your car quickly and efficiently!
